Big city Lawyer Rick (David O'Donnell) is planning to propose to his girlfriend Reagan (Sarah Thompson) before Christmas and has a real grand gesture in mind.
However,
his prospective father-in-law (Tom Arnold) sends him and Reagan to deliver a
proposal of a different kind to his quaint mountain hometown which Developer
Malone wants to turn into a ski resort.
To make
matters worse he discovers on his return that former childhood sweetheart Lisa
(Nicole Eggert) is the lawyer trying to save the town.
After a
town meeting at which the town council adopts the proposal Rick and Reagan
leave town, but a car accident forces them back to the small town where they have
to stick around until the car is repaired.
Which gives
his friends, family and former girlfriend time and opportunity to work their
magic on him.
