There have been a few versions of Miracle on 34th Street and are well worth watching, though some more than others.
It’s the story of a child, Susan Walker (Sandy
Descher) who has been brought up by her mother Doris (Teresa Wright) not to
believe in Santa Claus however she unknowingly employs the real Kris Kringle (Thomas
Mitchell) to be Santa Claus at Macy’s department store and the more
time Susan spends with Kris the more she believes.
However, Kris is arrested and must go to trial
where Fred Gaily (Macdonald Carey) must prove he is the real Santa and is not
insane.
