Toby (Matthew Harbour) is a sensitive young boy whose father John (Kevin Jubinville) who buried himself in his work when his mom
(Jane
Seymour) died and he is deeply saddened when he is dumped with his stern
Grandmother Ellen (Una Kay) for several weeks including Christmas.
Toby
finds comfort only when he finds the attic and then his cuddly velveteen rabbit
(Chandler Wakefield), and the Swan (Ellen Burstyn) and the Skin Horse (Tom
Skerritt) and from his father and grandmothers childhoods come to life in his
mind.
While
he plays with them crucial emotions are stirred in the family leading to a
happier future.
