THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – YES, VIRGINIA (2009)

This animated tale is set in New York City in 1897 Christmas loving eight-year-old Virginia O'Hanlon (Bea Miller) is challenged by her classmates who called into question whether or not there was a Santa Claus.

Her father Dr Philip O'Hanlan (Neil Patrick Harris) can’t help her, and nor can her mother Laura (Jennifer Love Hewitt).

So Virginia ventures into the city to find the answer and meets a scraggly Santa (Michael Buscemi) and an excitable librarian Miriam (Andrea Kessler) who cannot help so she writes to The New York Sun newspaper which arrives on the desk of the Newspaper writer Francis Church (Alfred Molina) and he writes a reply to her question which is printed on the front page of the Christmas Day addition 1897, Yes Virginia, There Is a Santa Claus.
