THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE CHRISTMAS ANGEL (1998)

The Christmas Angel is the heart-warming and beautifully portrayed story in a Nutcracker meets Disney on Ice style offering performed by Dorothy Hamill and other equally talented skaters.

Chip Davis and Olivia Newton-John narrate the story of a decorative angel that is stolen from the top of a Christmas tree by a villain called the Gargon. The toys under the tree will not become presents until the angel is found so with the toys' help, a young mother must defeat the Gargon and save Christmas.

Mannheim Steamroller provide the music and helps to set the mood of each scene in a great family movie that won’t disappoint fans of Mannheim Steamroller or Disney on Ice.

FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS SONG # 12 - I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday

Despite the general awfulness of the Christmas song there are however always exceptions to the rule and I have a short list of personal favorites.

Without exception all my choices not only include the song but the best performer of that song and so in no particular order here is my twelfth selection.

"I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday" Music and lyrics by Roy Wood performed by Wizzard

When the snowman brings the snow,
Well he just might like to know.
He’s put a great big smile on somebody’s face.
If you jump into your bed,
Quickly cover up your head,
Don’t you lock the doors you know that sweet Santa Claus is on the way.

Well I wish it could be Christmas everyday.
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play.
Oh I wish it could be Christmas everyday.
Let the bells ring out for Christmas.

When we’re skating in the park,
If the storm cloud paints it dark,
Then your rosy cheeks gonna light my merry way.
Now the frostiness appear
And they’ve frozen up my beard,
So we’ll lie by the fire till the sleep simply melts them all away.

Well I wish it could be Christmas everyday.
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play.
Oh I wish it could be Christmas everyday.
So, let the bells ring out for Christmas.

When the snowman brings the snow,
Well he just might like to know,
He’s put a great big smile on somebody’s face.
So if Santa brings that sleigh
All along the milky way,
I’ll sign my name on the rooftop in the snow then he may decide to stay.

Well I wish it could be Christmas everyday.
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play.
Oh I wish it could be Christmas everyday.
So, let the bells ring out for Christmas.

You lot Take It

Chorus, sung by children
Well I wish it could be Christmas everyday.
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play.
Oh I wish it could be Christmas everyday.
Let the bells ring out for Christmas.

Why don’t you give your love for Christmas

A HAND FOR SANTA

On Christmas Eve

Don’t lay awake in bed

All you naughty girls

Blonde, brunette or red

For instead of presents

You may get a shock instead

You may catch Santa

Dressed in his suit of red

Emptying his sack

At the end of your bed

CHIMNEY NOOK

The next time you complain

At the lack of Christmas nookey

Spare a thought for old St Nick

And have a little sympathy

For he only comes but once a year

And then he’s up a chimney

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS SOLO (2017)

“Christmas Solo” is set in a small town where two single parents, Vet Jennifer (Kelli Williams), who is new in town, and bespoke furniture maker, Nate (Jonathan Scarfe), stumble into the possibility of love for Christmas, only to discover that their daughters Charlotte and Melissa (Pippa Mackie and Kayla Wallace) are embroiled in a rivalry at school as they compete for the Christmas Solo at the Christmas Festival.

When the rivalry gets out of control and Charlotte is on the wrong end of some nasty pranks things come to a head and the parents and the school get involved, but will that lead everyone to a peaceful and merry Christmas?

An enjoyable tale of teenage angst and mature courtship, beautiful music and perfect friendships.

Alistair Abell stars as Nates brother, Pete, Ricky He and Naika Toussaint as Charlotte’s friends Henry and Audrey, and Natalie von Rotsburg as music teacher Ms. Baxter.

FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS SONG # 11- Keeping The Dream Alive

Despite the general awfulness of the Christmas song there are however always exceptions to the rule and I have a short list of personal favorites.

Without exception all my choices not only include the song but the best performer of that song and so in no particular order here is my eleventh selection.

“Keeping The Dream Alive” music written by Stefan Zauner and Aron Strobel and Lyrics by Tim Touchton and Curtis Briggs performed by Freiheit

Tonight the rain is falling
Full of memories of people and places
And while the past is calling
In my fantasy I remember their faces

The hopes we had were much too high
Way out of reach but we had to try
The game will never be over
Because we're keeping the dream alive

I hear myself recalling
Things you said to me
The night it all started
And still the rain is falling
Makes me feel the way
I felt when we parted

The hopes we had were much too high
Way out of reach but we have to try
No need to hide no need to run
'Cause all the answers come one by one
The game will never be over
Because we're keeping the dream alive

I need you
I love you

The game will never be over
Because we're keeping the dream alive

The hopes we had were much too high
Way out of reach but we had to try
No need to hide no need to run
'Cause all the answers come one by one

The hopes we had were much too high
Way out of reach but we had to try
No need to hide no need to run
'Cause all the answers come one by one

The game will never be over
Because we're keeping the dream alive

The game will never be over
Because we're keeping the dream alive

The game will never be over

SUPERSTITIOUSLY WHITE CHRISTMAS

If on Christmas day

Snow fall is seen

Then come Easter

Everywhere be green
