THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE FINNISH LINE (2024)

Juneau based champion dog sled racer Anya Kivelä (Kim Matula) followed in her late father's footsteps, being enthralled as a child by his stories of his exploits as a champion racer in Finland, especially the special Joulurauha competition in his hometown of Rovaniemi, Finland, the purported home of Santa Claus.

Due to the cost she had never competed in the race, she hadn’t even  travelled to Finland or met her many Finnish relations, however on the fortieth anniversary of the event she used every penny she had so that she, her best friend Elyse (Nichole Sakura) and her dog team could get to Finland.

Her biggest rival in the race is her father’s nemesis Monty White (Páll Sigþór Pálsson) who used to race against her father butt after the first race her lead dog is injured and to stay in the competition she has to borrow loan the lead dog of a ormer racer and journalist Cole Olsen (Beau Mirchoff) in exchange for her letting him write about her.

So, Anya, Cole, Elyse and Anya’s cousin Lavi (Benedikt Gröndal) team up to make sure Anya clams the prize but they all find that the real prize is love.
