Ava (Kim Shaw), is an entrepreneur who, along with her two friends Sahara and Jimmy (Rachel Grate and Luke Jones) puts on themed events for clients, depending on the season, under the company name of Rent a bunny, Rent a Ghost and of course Rent an Elf.

It was while doing a Christmas event at an Architect’s office that Ava first meets Liam (Sean Patrick Thomas) and his son Nathan (Zakai Biagas Bey), but it’s the following year before they meet again when Liam hires her holiday event planning business to put on something special for Nathan because he has lost his Christmas Spirit since his mum walked out on them the previous year.

As she works her way through a number of events Ava begins to think there may be a future for the two of them, but then his ex-wife Jojo (Nicholle Tom) comes back hoping to reclaim her family, but will she come between Liam and Ava or is the die cast.

Serious TV Reporter, Mary Romero (Tamara Feldman), is unhappy when she is assigned a puff piece in time for Christmas, about a Christmas toy manufacturer celebrating the 40th anniversary of their most famous creation the Mistle Toad.

So, she has to head off to the small town of Brunswick to visit the factory to film an interview with the CEO Alton Johnson (Torrey Hanson) who is very enthusiastic about promoting the company.

However, she has to spend a lot of time with his charming son Blake (Matt Trudeau) who  is reluctant to participate in an interview and abhors the commercial approach.

However, as she struggles to get a good story, she finds that spending time with Blake is more important than the story.

Hotel employee and wannabee singer, Madison Little (Cindy Busby) gets a surprise visit from her parents and when they meet her co-worker and friend, Sebastian (Jilon VanOver) they recognise him as the prince of a small European nation and assume that they are an item.

Madison, believes that he is just pretending to impersonate the prince to please her family, whereas in truth he is not pretending.

But while they are in a fictional relationship, they actually develop feelings for each other.

However, after getting trapped between two snow systems, they divert to Jacks family home in Illinois until the bad weather abates.

But on the road trip and at the Swanson’s Christmas celebrations Jack and Cali discover they are kindred spirits and fall for each other.

Lila Ramsey (Aubrey Reynolds) manages a theatre that is preparing to put on the “Nutcracker” in time for Christmas and is a hands-on type of person who is super popular with the staff and her boss.

However, because bookings are a little lower than expected a new marketing coordinator Glenn McCornish (Samuel Whitten) is hired after Thanksgiving to boost ticket sales, unfortunately for Lila the new hire is someone from her past.

They were at high school together were he bullied her with very hurtful pranks and seeing him again caused unwelcome memories to resurface which she needed to deal as they were working together.

Glenn soon recognises how cruel his adolescent pranks were to his victims so in the Special theatre Secret Santa, which involves getting one gift every week between Thanksgiving and Christmas, Glenn arranges to get Lila, and selects thoughtful gifts for her, but will that be enough to win her over?
