THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE HOLIDAY CLUB (2024)

 

Local baker Bailey (Alexandra Swarens) meets Sam (Mak Shealy) on Valentines Day when she delivered an order of pastries to her apartment.

After that first meeting, they become friends and celebrate subsequent holidays together until Halloween when friendship turned to lust and they made love.    

But the next day they have doubts about their feelings and expressed their fears for their friends.

Then following an argument on Thanksgiving, they didn’t see each other through Christmas and New Year so what will Valentines Day bring?

Single mom, Jane McSurely (Lindsay Hicks) runs the family horse farm since her father passed away, and had little time for a love life even before her ex-husband Mark (Joe Piazza) asked her to be best “man” at his Christmas wedding which also involves organizing the bachelor party.

With the help from her mother Mary Ellen (Jill Larson) and her ten-year-old daughter Lexi (Colette Hahn) she keeps everything together, then she meets and falls for Sue (Rivkah Reyes), the wedding planner, and after a number of encounters, they end up on a date.

But everything is thrown into a state of chaos when a snowstorm strikes, and the bride and groom are snowed in at the airport, they lose the wedding venue due to double booking, and the farm is being foreclosed.

So, Jane will need more than a little Christmas magic to save the farm, the wedding and her new love.

But when he gets to the house of Miss Broom (Fiona Shaw) and she wants nothing to do with Christmas and shoos him away, but Hen is undeterred, so will he help Miss Broom rediscover the magic of Christmas?

With the promise of a partnership, ambitious interior designer Colbie Clark (Susie Abromeit), is tasked by her boss Mallory (Kimberley Joseph) to take on the challenge of decorating the historic Chapman House in time for a major fund-raising Christmas Gala.

She was apparently requested by name, by the owner of the estate Eloise Chapman (Fiona Stewart) and has to work estate manager Ben Thurston (Liam McIntyre) which leads to some conflict in regard to styles as she favours the modern, high-fashion aesthetic whereas he tended towards the rustic.

Despite the initial friction they soon embrace a mutual respect as they work long hours together and an inevitable attraction develops.

But then Mrs Chapman’s daughter Layla (Brittany Grey) returns from London for the Holly Ball, so Colbie has doubts, and he has applied for another job in Italy anyway and then her boss warns her off, which add to those doubts.

So, will the pair align their visions to create a successful, heartwarming holiday fundraiser, and secure a romantic future for themselves?
