THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS (1995)

Claudia Larson (Holly Hunter) loses her job and is so stunned that she momentarily kisses her soon to be ex-boss, Peter Arnold (Austin Pendleton), and to make matters worse she later finds out that her daughter Kitt (Claire Danes) plans to spend Thanksgiving with her boyfriend and surrender her virginity in the process.

So Claudia has to make the dreaded flight to her home town to face spending the holiday with her family dysfunctional family, parents Adele and Henry (Anne Bancroft and Charles Durning), brother Tommy (Robert Downey Jr), sister Joanne (Cynthia Stevenson) and her husband Walter Wedman (Steve Guttenberg), and Aunt Glady (Geraldine Chaplin), she just hopes she can survive their crazy antics.

There is however a voice of sanity provided by Tommy’s friend Leo Fish (Dylan McDermott) but will that be enough to make the sojourn worthwhile.
