Aid worker Annie Blake (Georgia Flood) returns to her hometown in
North Haven, Vermont, to spend the holidays with her family after finishing a
mission in Nepal, while she waits for her next project with the "Helping
Hand" organisation and a possible promotion.
It’s the first time she has been back home since her mother passed away
three years earlier and stays with her Aunt Claire (Christine Amor) but having
devoted her life to helping people in need she is unable to just relax and
enjoy the holidays.
So, she pours all of her energy into rehoming animals from a shelter
which brings her into the orbit of local vet and Annie's old school debating
nemesis Dylan Hawkes (Ezekiel Simat) and they form a reluctant alliance to
settle a ragtag bunch of animals looking for homes.
In the end they manage to create a Christmas that nobody will ever
forget, and in the process, find true love.
