Ethan Holt (James Denton) is married to Joyce (Teri Hatcher) and they
have two teenage children, and its 20
years since they first met.
He is frustrated that he’s still doing the same job for the same
company, and he has no time to appreciate what he has all he can see is what he
doesn’t have.
So, one night when he’s going to do something he knows is unethical he
is at the train station pouring his
heart out to a train-station Santa, wishing that on that day 20 years earlier
he hadn’t got on the elevator with Joyce.
"Santa" grants Ethan his wish when he wakes up on December
1st of this year to find himself now co-partner of firm and he has chauffeured
car a great apartment and a huge office, but he didn’t have Joyce or the
children.
Joyce is in his new life however as an adversarial lawyer who he
confides in because he knew that she was the key to him being able to reclaim
his original life and family.
