On the last day before Christmas break, the popular art teacher at Ponchatoula Junior High, Faith Mason (Hilarie Burton), is told that the arts funding at the school has been totally cut, along with her job.
As usual school nurse and best friend Wyatt (Tyler Hilton) is by her
side while she comes to terms with what has happened.
Her younger sister Maddie (Megan Park) returns home for the holidays
on the same day with her boyfriend Ryan (Lee Norris) and believes that Faith’s
problems stem from being alone so persuades her sister that a wish in the
famous town Wishing Box is her best move, so she posts a wish that her sister
will experience true loves kiss.
Unfortunately, the next day men start throwing themselves at her.
All the attention is initially very flattering, but soon becomes quite
tedious and while she has been distracted by all the attention, she has been
blind to the true love that has been right in front of her since the beginning.
