Caroline Mathison (Danielle Sarentino) books an Air B&B for her parents Debbie and Richard (Terri Minton and Ken Alter), her sister Kassi (Courtnè Alyssa) and her soon to be fiancé Carl (Joel Paul Reisig) for Christmas in Frankenmuth, Michigan.

But when she arrives in the beloved Bavarian village known for its year-round Christmas charm, she finds there has been a Christmas booking blunder and Karl Williams (Tom Kruszewski) and his grandma (Shirley Moon Koebbe) are also booked in to the same Air B&B.

So, the two families agree to share, and initially there is friction but as time passes and Carl’s arrival is delayed, Christmas works its magic and an unexpected romance results.

Hammonds Bank have a long-standing tradition where the Chairman, in keeping with Charles Dickens character Scrooge, must deliver a prize Turkey and the modern equivalent of six shillings to a poor family in Camden Town.

So, Sir Percy Hammond (Bill Fraser) instructs the newest member of the Bank, Nigel Playfayre (Peter Chelsom) to carry out the task.

However, he collides with a street entertainer and loses the envelope with the address, and it is picked up by a young boy Viv (Danny Wooder).

So, Viv and his best mate Gos (Clive Parker) try and return it to the bank, but they can’t get in.

Meanwhile Nigel tries to find the name another way which takes him to Judy Tall (Lesley Manville).

But in the end, it’s up to Viv and Gos to show Nigel the way.

After celebrating Midnight Mass at the Holy Redeemer Church, Theresa Manslurch (Marina Stephenson) and her children Christine and Nathan (Lara Lynn Lacey and Roy Derges) they return home to their apartment to find a burglar inside (Greg Morley) and he runs off leaving a mess in his wake, including the broken music box made for Theresa by her husband Peter (Eugene Strickland) who passed away earlier that year.

That night Peter appears to Christine and he makes everything right in the apartment and the next morning Theresa refuses to believe her husband had returned until she finds the music box as good as new.

Later the burglar knocks on her door accompanied by his son (Richard Jestadt) and he apologizes for what he did and explains why, Theresa forgives him and they all sit down to Christmas dinner.
