THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – STARS FELL AGAIN (2023)

 

LA Agent Bryce Dixon (James Maslow) is planning to propose to actress Madison Belle (Ciara Hanna) while spending Christmas with her family only to find that her sister Harper (Ali Faulkner) was announcing her engagement to her English boyfriend Noah Fielding (Tom Connolly) and that the wedding was in two days’ time.

So Bryce cant propose because he didn’t want to steal Harpers thunder or make Madison feel like an afterthought.

But as plans begin to fall apart it appears that there may be a major shock in store.

Sophie (Merritt Patterson) is an LA based professional photographer and as her boyfriend Brent Willoughby (Toby Levins) is on a photographic assignment of his own she decides to  return home to Bainbridge, Washington, for Christmas to visit her grandmother Louise (Paula Shaw) who has hurt her ankle and can’t get about.

Living next door to Louise is David (Jon Cor) and his orphaned nephew Troy (Luke Roessler).

When Sophie first meets David, he mistakes her for a nanny applicant he is desperately looking for to look after Troy during the school recess, but once the misunderstanding is sorted out, she offers to help out until he can solve the nanny problem and being in their lives changes her life forever.

Jessica Steen and Jeremy Ratchford star in this modern take on O. Henry's classic tale “the Gift of the Magi”.

Nora and Evan are a young married couple who are struggling financially as Christmas approaches, he’s been laid off from the mine and his truck needs a new engine and she is finding it hard to meet the bills.

As a result they agree not to buy Christmas presents that year, secretly however they both decide to do so anyway.

Her sister Bronwyn (Rachael McLaren) believes its fate, Emma has a different view, so when she returns home to Vermont for Christmas, Bronwyn books her into the same B&B that her former sweetheart Fletcher (Edward Ruttle) is staying at with his vivacious daughter Lola (Sophia Bachart) and the old feelings resurface as they strive to save the local theatre.

Harper Hart (Jessica Sipos) is a TV meteorologist who has a reputation as a Grinch and doesn’t believe in miracles or Christmas magic and doesn’t enjoy the season at all.

But in the Hart family there is a family heirloom Mistletoe ornament, which traditional belief has it, has magical powers when couples kiss beneath it they fall instantly in love.

Harper doesn’t believe that, but her sister Holly (Miranda Millar) does, and she wants it for the Christmas Eve dinner so that her boyfriend will pop the question.

Unfortunately Harper hadn’t returned it after the previous holiday and to make matters worse her friend Elle (Alys Crocker) mistakenly donated the box of decorations to charity.

So she has to go on a quest to buy the decorations back from the thrift shop they were donated to and that’s where she meets childhood schoolmate Luke (Stephen Huszar) who is the store manager.

With his help they set off running around town trying to find the mistletoe in time for the family Christmas Eve dinner.

Despite the fact they are opposites, he loves Christmas and is a hopeless romantic they soon begin to fall for one another, which proves to her there really is such a thing as Christmas magic.
