THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS SCAVENGER HUNT (2019)

 

When Belinda Phillips (Kim Shaw) heads back to her hometown of Deerfield for Christmas, it is the first time in years.

The main reason for her return is to see best friend Faith Wheeler (Kathryn Kohut) and meet her fiancé, Jason Wilson (Matthew Stefiuk), before they marry early in the New Year.

Her workaholic boyfriend Logan (Jon Welch) was supposed to be with her but he was busy, so she went alone and stayed with her widowed father Carl (Tom Arnold), determined to make the best of it.

However, things get complicated when she is forced to team up with her ex, Dustin Cooper (Kevin McGarry), at Deerfield's annual day long Christmas scavenger hunt.

And their search for clues leads them slowly but surely back to one another.

A beautiful single mother Willa Fairchild (Autumn Reeser) gets the Christmas present of a lifetime, when her late patient leaves in his will $50,000 and a two-week paid Christmas vacation at Bramble House, for her and her son Scout (Liam Hughes).

While settling his father’s estate, Finn Conrad (David Haydn-Jones) and his sister Molly (Julia Benson) are suspicious as to why he should make such a large bequest to his nurse.

Convinced she has swindled their father and determined to get to the truth, Finn follows Willa to Bramble House to confront her at the bed and breakfast so he can reclaim what he considers to be his family’s money.

But when he meets Willa, and spends time with her and Scout, he discovers she’s not the conniving gold digger he was expecting her to be, but a woman in need.

But the longer he keeps his true identity a secret, the harder it is to come clean and the more likely it is when the truth is discovered Willa will be angry at the deceit and never trust him again.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – GOOD MORNING CHRISTMAS (2016)

 

When one of the anchors decides to depart America's favourite morning show, “Rise and Shine” the hunt begins for a replacement. Among them the son of a broadcasting legend, Charlie Fisher (Dean Cain), a local New York newscaster.

Also in the mix is Connecticut based human-interest reporter Emily Morgan (Melissa Joan Hart) who just happens to be his ex from before his move to New York.

So, the sparks fly as they battle it out on and off air to make an impression during their segments.

It becomes clear as the competition narrows, that either Charlie or Emily will get the job, however as they compete, they soon discover that the spark between them when they were a couple still burns bright.

Guardian angel Rose (Angela Lansbury) goes to visit an orphan named Emily (Noelle E. Parker) who is sick in the hospital and tells her a story about another guardian angel (Dick Van Dyke).

Who has appeared to Annabelle Kingsley (Alivia Clark), aka Buttons, from time to time following her loving parents’ prayer to God to watch over her when she had scarlet fever as an infant.

When Annabelle is 10, she and her mother learn that her father William Kingsley (Ioan Gruffudd), a ship captain, has been lost at sea, then her newly-impoverished mother Sarah (Julia Burrows) is forced to work in a textile mill and the harsh conditions lead to her death.

So, Annabelle is an orphan and is bullied by the other girls until she escapes.

She finds herself alone, hungry, and cold on Christmas Eve, guided by her guardian angel she decides the only place she can turn to for safety is the church, and finds salvation.

Successful political consultant, or spin doctor, Jillian (Kali Hawk) is confident in her ability to put a positive spin on any situation and is working on the upcoming Mayoral campaign for her boyfriend, George (Damon Dayoub).

Deceit is one of the weapons she employs and is not above lying to a young girl in a toy store, or even Santa to achieve her objective, so on the way to meet George's family for the first time, she has an angry confrontation with a toy store Santa, or so she thinks, because in reality he is the real deal, so Santa puts a “curse” on her so she can't stop telling the truth.

So, Jillian must find a way to make it stop before her Christmas, her job and her relationship are ruined.
