THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS LUCKY CHARM (2022)

Talented Baker Jessica Connolly (Sugenja Sri) discovers by chance that she is regarded as a the “lucky charm” after her previous four ex’s all married within six months of them breaking up, so after confiding in her friend Ally Carlisle (Alanna LeVierge) she swears off of dating.

However, her resolve is severely tested after a new art gallery opens across the street from her shop and she meets handsome artist Mitch Jameson (Adrian Spencer).

So will their natural chemistry counteract the hex hanging over her or will he be heading to alter with another woman.

Well-travelled Sociology professor Anna Collucia (Sarah Power) is home for Christmas to look after her grandfather Vincent (Beau Bridges) who is struggling with dementia and allow her mother Madelynn (Gwenda Lorenzetti) to take a well-earned holiday.

Being home, she is shocked at how much he had deteriorated in the two months that had elapsed since she last saw him.

When she speaks with neurologist Dr. Greg Krasinski (Markian Tarasiuk) after Vincent does poorly in the cognitive test and he suggests that stimulating his senses, like taste and smell could help his memory.

So, she galvanises her siblings, RJ and Ella (Jesse Irving and Morgana Wyllie) into trying to recreate their long-deceased Nona’s famous sugo pasta sauce to serve for Christmas Eve dinner and stimulate memories of home.

Each of them have their own reasons for entering and specific plans for the prize money, Julian to build on the legacy of his mother Sophie (Arlene Duncan) and Brianna to fund the tuition fees for her daughter Willow (Naomi Sogbein). 

However there proves to be more to the competition than they believed and as they work closely together it seems that there is also more to their protagonists than meets the eye.

Celebrity Chef Sophia Grewal (Soma Chhaya) suffers personal and professional disappointments after opening her third restaurant so decides to get away from it all and heads to a resort Hotel in Aspen.

Arriving between breakfast and lunch she wanders into the kitchen in search of a snatch where grumpy chef Ansel Vallée (Olivier Renaud) assumes her to be his new sous chef, she tries to correct him, but he wouldn’t listen so for some reason she decided to go along with it.

As they worked closely in preparation for a big celebrity wedding a closeness develops between them, but what will happen when the truth is inevitably revealed?
