THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A STAR FOR CHRISTMAS (2021)

 

Riley Burdett (Jamie Perez) is a passionate theatre director who has just begun auditioning for the upcoming annual performance of “A Christmas Carol” when she discovers that the owner Regina Caldwell (Maureen Keiller) is selling the historic theatre to a developer who plans on building condominiums in its place.

So, she has to find a way to save the well-loved town theatre by putting on the most memorable performance of a Christmas Carol in the history of the theatre and even manages to enlist the help of handsome Hollywood actor Sam (Thomas McDonell) to play Bob Cratchit, but it’s still an uphill struggle to get the result and the rewards.

On the night of the funeral after she’s let her children down again Jake appears to her to herald the coming of three Christmas spirits to guide her towards redemption, her response is typically trashy as are the images revealed by The Ghost of Christmas Past, a former high school classmate (Spencer Locke), The Ghost of Christmas Present, Constantine (Eric Roberts) and the Ghost of Christmas Future,  her mother Wanda (Beverly D'Angelo).

So, will the three Christmas spirits guide such a hot mess towards redemption?

Disgruntled Santa (David Harbour) finds himself out of sorts at the Lightstone family compound when an elite team of mercenaries, Gingerbread, Krampus, Candy Cane, Frosty, Tinsel, Jingle, Peppermint, and Sugarplum (André Eriksen, Brendan Fletcher, Mitra Suri, Can Aydin, Phong Giang, Finn McCager, Rawleigh Clements-Willis and Stephanie Sy) led by Scrooge (John Leguizamo) breaks in on Christmas Eve to rob wealthy, vile and obnoxious Gertrude Lightstone (Beverly D'Angelo).

After killing all the staff and security the gang take the family hostage while the break into the vault.

Santa has to fight for his life with one of the mercenaries and the resulting gunfire scares the reindeer away, so he is stranded.

When Santa finds out that a young girl call Trudy (Leah Brady) is hiding in an attic in fear of her life and that the other hostages are also in danger he has no choice but to take them out to save Trudy, the hostages and Christmas.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – TRIVIA AT ST. NICK'S (2024)

 

Its Christmas at Hampstead University in Vermont and when all the students have left for winter break the faculty and the locals have only one thing on their minds, the annual Christmas Trivia Tournament at Nick’s Bar.

No one loves the tournament more than Astronomy Professor Celeste (Tammin Sursok) who thinks that her team, The Quizmas Elves, has a real chance of winning this year as she had persuaded and ex Jeopardy! winner Math professor Richard (Denis Ooi) to join the team.

The other 5 members were, Celeste, her best friend Ashley (Kathleen Elizabeth Monteleone) her husband Freddie (Ari Brand), her mother Sherry (Elizabeth Keifer, and History Professor Gary (Willie C. Carpenter).

However, on the evening of the sign-up Richard drops out leaving them one player short and they need 6 to compete.

So, she has no alternative but to accept the new offensive coach, Max.

But he has a winning mentality but with a more relaxed attitude and brings a different dynamic to the team and Celeste sees a different side to him and the two of them start to fall for each other.

So will the team triumph in the trivia tournament and will they have a happy-ever-after.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – TIME FOR ME TO COME HOME FOR CHRISTMAS (2018)

Since her mother's passing Cara Hill (Megan Park) faces a bittersweet Christmas as she sets off to fly home to Oklahoma.

At the airport she meets country singer Heath Sawyer (Josh Henderson), who is also facing a tough holiday following his father's death, but he doesn't acknowledge his fame, so Cara feels duped when two attractive women rush him for autographs.

Although the weather keeps thwarting their progress, Cara and Heath stick together as they head toward their separate Christmases together, and they grow close along the way.

But there is more than weather to contend with, and it looks like it might take a Christmas miracle for this couple to find harmony.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE THREE DOGATEERS (2014)

 

The Three Doggateers, Arfamis (Jesse Baget), Barkos (Jesse Baget) and Wagos (Danielle Judovits) are left on their own a few days before Christmas, when their master Matt (Dean Cain) is called away for work.

When a couple of burglars (Stephen Cedars and Benji Kleiman) make off with all of the family's presents and decorations, adventure-loving Arfamis, leads chronically hungry Barkos, and the pampered purebred Wagos on a mission to sniff out the bad guys, avoiding angry humans and a crazy dog catcher Barney Gloat (Bill Oberst Jr.) along the way.

So, can they save Christmas or will they need a little help from Santa Claus (Richard Riehle)?
