Twenty
five years after Jessica Tannen (Emily Rose) had her teenage dreams shattered
in a car crash after her sister Elisha (Shari Rigby) ran a red light, she's become
a determined supermom with a cane, orchestrating the perfect Christmas for her
husband Paul (Eric Close) and their children Melody, Nick and Gabe (Gracie
Bryant, Matt Anspach and Ellis Myers).
Her
meticulous plans are thrown off track when her parents (John O'Hurley and Sally
Struthers) arrive four days early, then her sister Elisha, her husband Walter
(Frank Oakley III) and daughter Aria (Desiree Ross) arrived early as well, with
their dog.
The
disruption to her plans put her under extra pressure because this year is
particularly significant to Jessica for several reason, the main one being that
it could be the last one she would have full use of her hands or even her legs.
Most
of her family and friends are unaware of the deterioration in her health until
she slips on the ice and ends up in hospital where she is forced to confront
her health issues and rediscover the true spirit of the season.
