Cadence is a Wedding Planner whose motto is "organize and prioritize" whereas Henry is more of an intuitive person and initially they view each other with disdain.

But their daughters become inseparable friends and they grow closer themselves as they strive towards their goals.

The School pageant first and foremost, but it’s when helping with each other’s own business projects, Cadences Wedding Planning for former college friend, Avery Abbott (Nicki Whitely) who wants a perfect magical Christmas wedding, and the Christmas Eve Party for socialite Sue Sutton (Lanette Ware) being organised by Henry’s Christmas design company, when the bond is forged and two families become one.

But after a few chance meetings with Lily's handsome firefighter father Michael Foster (Colin Lawrence) she soon finds her focus shifting from dance to romance.

Another difference was that she loves Christmas while he doesn’t celebrate it at all, but despite the differences Mel made it work, so when she is told, Brian has asked to leave the show after the live Christmas Eve Broadcast, she is stunned.

However, she is even more shocked to find out that their normal annual one-off show has been extended to a week culminating on Christmas Eve with a primetime special in the town of Mistletoe.

The series of shows during that week are intended to highlight the town's Christmas traditions but as they progress through a Christmas list of seasonal activities, they find themselves changing the way they view each other, professionally and personally.

But the arrival of his girlfriend Christy (Kat Ruston) looks set to quash any budding romance and there is still Brian’s new job looming on the horizon.
