THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS ON THE RANGE (2019)

Despite the best efforts of her neighbour Brick McCree (A Martinez) to sabotage her, rancher Kendall Riley (Erin Cahill) is determined to get certification as an organic farmer and sell her herd, and fights heroically to save the family ranch.

However she does have allies among the McCree’s in the shape of Bricks ex-wife Lillian McCree (Lindsay Wagner) and her Veterinarian son Clint (Nicholas Gonzalez) who are home for Christmas.

Clint pays a visit to the ranch at the precise moment a cow is having trouble giving birth, so he helps to deliver the calf and although she is suspicious of him because he’s a McCree, a romance blossoms, but with that be enough in this engaging tribute to small towns, big dreams and the power of love.

They are all bound for Denver, and all have very different reasons for getting there, so they decide to join forces and rent a minibus and share the driving and Maya chronicles their misadventures for her followers along the way.

Unexpected bonds are formed as they share heartfelt conversations and they get to know each other and learn of their backgrounds and challenges that have lead them toward Christmas in Denver.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS ON THE ROCKS (2022)

When an event planner Sarah (Lyla Porter-Follows) breaks her leg the day before her most important event for a huge corporate client Liz Ross (Lisa Ryder), she begs her twin sister Jenifer, who is a high-end chef, to not only stand in for her but to pretend to be her to save her business.

She reluctantly agrees, however things immediately go awry when her old flame Mack (Jon McLaren) appears, and Jenifer has to keep pretending to be her sister.

But as if that isn’t enough to contend with, she finds that the supplies she is given to work with are lacking both quantity and quality.

Other obstacles she has to overcome are avalanches, road closures, cancelations and sabotage by Steve Kane (Matthew Bennett) who is  Liz Ross’s partner.

So will her secret be discovered and undermine her efforts and spoil her chance of a rekindled romance or will Christmas work its magic?

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – WINTER CASTLE - BABY, IT'S COLD INSIDE (2021)

Travel agent Hannah (Jocelyn Hudon) is looking forward to a holiday cruise with her best friend Phoebe (Kathryn Kohut) and their parents but her boss sends her to Canada's Ice Hotel instead, with the promise of a promotion.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – HOLIDAY WISH COME TRUE (2018)

Recently separated parents Tracie and Rick (Schuyler Fisk and David Clayton Rogers) (Rogers) spend every other holiday with their young daughters Harper and Ava (Abby James Witherspoon and Skylar Olivia Flanagan). But after Thanksgiving the girls conspire and tell their parents that they only have only one thing on their wish lists for Christmas, and that is to spend Christmas with both Mom and Dad with their Grandparents, Mimi and Ed (Dee Wallace and Glenn Morshower) at their farmhouse with the rest of the family.

Tracie and Rick know that the temporary reunion will be no walk in the park, but they agree for the sake of the children, but Mimi is less than keen and fears that the Christmas gathering will help rekindle the lost romance between her daughter and the man she loathes, which would make her granddaughters' greatest Christmas wish come true.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE LAST CHRISTMAS HOME

The Marvin sisters, Megan (Erin Cahill) Bethany (Rachel Rhodes-Devey) and Audrey (Catherine Corcoran) gather for what they discover is to be their last Christmas at their childhood home, after their parents, Daniel and Peggy (Jim O'Hare and Ann Osmond), inform them that they are selling up and moving to Florida.

The decision is not received with universal acceptance, in fact Audrey for example recruits neighbour Brandon (Alan Pontes) to sabotage the sale, but things are further complicated when the buyer turns out to be Megan’s high school sweetheart Nash (Justin Bruening).

A nice story well-acted by an accomplished ensemble, though for me Samarah Conley as Megan’s daughter Ivy, steals the show.
