THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A HOMECOMING FOR THE HOLIDAYS (2019)

 

Country singer Charlotte Quinn (Laura Osnes) returns home to Canyon Pass, Montana, for the holidays as her brother Eric (Jesse Irving) is coming home after completing his final tour of duty.

Her parents Patty and Glenn (P Lynn Johnson and Jan Bos) are expecting Eric to take over the family’s construction business, but Eric has other plans.

Meanwhile while writing songs for her new album, Charlotte falls for Matt (Stephen Huszar) who is in town to build a house for the non-profit company, Operation Homefront, but do they have a future together?

Kris Kringle (Donovan Scott) is informed he needs to take a mandatory holiday and hand the reigns over to recently unemployed Dan Ryebeck (Ethan Erickson) and pays him a visit from the North Pole.

He leaves his hard-working elf assistant Eddie (Sean Astin) to guide Dan with the do’s and don’ts but he has different priorities and is only interested in getting the presents for that his children, Sally (Annie Thurman) and Joe (Griffin Cleveland), want and to win back his wife Linda (Anne Dudek), but when he realises he has special powers he soon gets carried away.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS PARADE (2014)

Famous talk show host, Hailee Anderson (AnnaLynne McCord), is preparing for her Christmas special when she finds out, live on air, that her real-estate fiancé Jason Keppler (Drew Scott) is cheating on her.

In order to clear her mind and shake her anger, she goes for a drive but ends up crashing through a fence in Carver Bend, Connecticut, which belongs to Judge Joe Morris (Frank Moore).

The Judge sentences her to do community service, which is with her rescuer Beck Thomas (Jefferson Brown), who is building a float for the town's annual Christmas Parade, the ultimate goal being to save the Carver Bend arts centre.

In the beginning Hailee is a scrooge, but she soon bonds with the kids, Beck’s mother Wendy (Chapelle Jaffe) and the locals in general, and grows close to Beck, and comes up with a plan to make everyone happy, including herself.

Daniel Reece (Mark Christopher Lawrence) is fired by his best friend right before Christmas, and with his son's expensive surgery pending and is angry with the world after having to tell his wife Carmen (Talia Alanis) the news.

So Cal (Leigh-Allyn Baker), an angel, takes him on a journey back in time to witness the trials of Joseph (Grey Acuna) and Mary (Isabelle Almoyan) before the very first Christmas, to remind him how God's love can carry him through anything.

Disillusioned book editor Samantha Kerrigan (Lindy Booth) returns to her hometown to celebrate her father’s (Ed Marinaro), retirement from coaching football.

She is hoping for a quiet visit but is disappointed when she discovers that her high-school sweetheart, NFL quarterback Jake (Trevor Donovan), who is also staying at her dads.

He is not someone she wants to see again as he stood her up on the night of the Snowcoming dance 12 years earlier.

Samantha’s anger cools as they spend time together and as it becomes clear that his love of playing had dwindled, she realises that her future might well be in her hometown and after seeing that the library needs dragging into the 21st century, Samantha asks Jake to use his celebrity as a draw for a “Tailgate at the Library” to raise funds.

When Coach announces he and Librarian Alice (Lynda Boyd) are getting married after she retires all the pieces fall into place for her and Jake to take their places.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE DONKEY THAT SAVED CHRISTMAS (2020)

 

A Christian family is struggling in the approach to the holidays, the Apple harvest has failed they’ve lost the Blueberry contract, and they have a huge tax bill to pay.

Desperate to save their farm, they and their daughters decide to open a Christmas light show on their land, but when visitors fail to materialise, it’s down to their rescued donkey to save their Christmas.
