THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE CHRISTMAS PITCH (2021)

 

William and Becca (Joseph Morales and Alexa Maria Huerta) are both marketing executives at a big-time company in Chicago, and are both vying for a promotion to the New York office.

Because they make a hash of their Christmas pitch their boss Mr. Kriss (Sean Blake) sends them to William's hometown of Kringle Lake to rediscover the spirit of Christmas.

While there they get to know each other, more personally and when they find out  William's brother's bakery is being forced to close its doors, they work together on a plan to save the bakery, and in doing so, they do find the Christmas spirit they were searching for, but they found more than that, they found each other.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A LITTLE WOMEN'S CHRISTMAS (2024)

 

In this contemporary retelling of Louisa May Alcott's 1868 classic novel, the March sisters Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy (Jillian Murray, Jen Lilley, Laura Osnes and Julia Reilly) return home to celebrate Christmas in Alcott Grove.

The story focuses mainly on Jo, a highly successful children's author, struggling to break into the YA market and her publisher gives her two weeks to produce a new draft, so she's forced to combine the holiday with developing a new concept.

In the meantime, Fritz, one of their editors, is sent by the publisher to support Jo.

He goes to Alcott Grove but doesn’t declare who he is or why he's there, and instead gets close to Jo, and her sisters encourage her to spend time with Fritz.

But with them developing a romantic relationship, what will happen when the truth is revealed?

Once she got over her initial anger she falls for her grandmother's pony, Hope, and becomes determined to help save the ranch from foreclosure with the help of friends and neighbours, especially James Mifflin (Allen Williamson).

 A Christmas tale about a young Reverend, Oliver Crawford (Dennis Haysbert) from Cleveland, is appointed as the new Pastor of the Hallelujah Church in Washington, D.C., and travels to DC with his teenage son Nat Crawford (Deon Richmond).

He is warmly welcomed by his assistant Eunice Perry (Suzzanne Douglas) but not so much so by the self-appointed church committee, Elmira Pendleton, Minnie Thomkins, Deacon Conoly and Rev. Foy (Phyllis Bash, Rosanna Carter, Lex Monson and Ray Aranha) who never wanted him in the first place and have concerns about his age and single-parent status, and they give him two days to impress them.

In those two days he is challenged when he encounters a pregnant teen Kathrine Marie Campbell (Tracy Douglas) a homeless veteran Big Willie Thornton (Keith David), Mayor Turner (Phylicia Rashad) and the irascible neighbourhood atheist Old Man Taylor (James Earl Jones).

But its Christmas so it is the season for miracles.
