THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – HALLMARK HALL OF FAME: SILVER BELLS (2005)

Widower Christopher 'Christy' Byrne (Tate Donovan) still operates his family Christmas Tree farm, and he expects his son Danny (Michael Mitchell) and daughter Bridget (Courtney Jines) to do their part and make the farm their top priority.

But Danny has aspiration and has a passion for photography, but his father dismisses it a hobby.

Every December the family go into New York to stay with Mrs. Quinn (Margo Martindale) and sell his Christmas trees.

When the last one was sold Danny announced he was staying in the city and after angry words and a scuffle he ran away to pursue his own dream as a photographer.

Widowed Manhattanite Catherine O'Mara (Anne Heche) who works for the Museum witnessed the altercation and over the months following she bonds with Danny and looks out for him helps him with assignments and study facilities but keeps it from his father.

When Christy returns to New York a year later to sell his trees, he and Catherine cross paths.

When contact is finally made, Christy still hasn't learned his lesson and Danny pays another cruel price, so what will the future bring?
