Fastidious
organizer Barbara Harrison (Beth Broderick) is newly retired and looking for
something to fill her days so signs up for the Holiday Committee and meets long
standing member Kath Stone (Caroline Rhea) who’s approach is more random and
chaotic, so they clash.
But
they find common ground when they discover they've inadvertently set up their
adult children, Barbara’s son Shane (Jon McLaren) and Kath’s daughter Lauren
(Maxine Denis) via a dating app.
So
they team up to stop the romance, before it begins, but Shane and Lauren are
only pretending to date in order to keep their mothers off their backs.
So
who will win out? Will Barbara and Kath come to realize they have more in
common than they first thought? And will their kids' fake love blossom into
something real? And is a Happy Christmas on the cards?
