Amber
(Rose McIver) is a junior editor in New York tidying
up other writer’s work, so she is delighted when she gets to do some real
reporting when she's sent to Aldovia to report on Prince Richard (Ben Lamb)
and whether he assumes the crown or abdicates before Christmas Eve.
When
she sneaks into the palace to pursue the story she is mistaken for the tutor
off Princess Emily (Honor Kneafsey) and she plays along to get the chance of
a scoop.
But
she finds herself conflicted as she builds a bond with Emily and respect for Queen Helena
(Alice Krige) and love for Prince Richard.
She
also uncovers complications around his accession to the throne which Amber
unintentionally exposes, so will they be able to forgive her when they find out
she's a reporter and will that kill the spark between her and the future King?
