Shortly
before Christmas New York City chiropractor Addie (Merritt Patterson)
mistakenly receives a text message that was meant for someone else.
The
woman who sent it, Maybel (Jayne Eastwood), known as Nana, who lives in
Vermont.
The
two of them instantly become friends, and Addie is invited to her home for
Christmas.
She
accepts as her father and brother are in Australia for the holidays where she
meets Nana's son James (Trevor Donovan) and sparks fly, but he is in a
relationship.
She
is invited back the following year but this time she is dating a chef.
The
third year of what had become a tradition she returns to Vermont and both of
them are unattached, but she is planning to move to Australia, and he has a job
offer in Jamaica, so will Christmas romance come to pass or will they miss each
other for another year.
