YOU LOOK UPON CHRISTMAS

You look upon Christmas

As just another of your duties

And over the years

You’ve given us some beauties

You don’t think that it’s Special

It’s just something that you do

But Christmas doesn’t just happen

It’s made piece by piece by you

Everything that is Christmas

When all said and done

Is completely down to you

So Happy Christmas Mum

DON’T THINK WE HAVEN’T NOTICED

Don’t think we haven’t noticed

Just because we haven’t said

But we know that compliments

Are something that you dread

You’ve made a perfect Christmas

With your own fair hands

You thought of every detail

In your carefully made plans

We’ve enjoyed every moment

All the festivities and fun

So although you’ll be embarrassed

Thanks for Christmas mum

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – ME AND LUKE

Me and Luke is the heart-warming story about a young father, Matt Blessing (Kristopher Turner), and his reluctance to give up his new born son.

Matt is only nineteen and when he goes to the hospital to see his baby he discovers that his young girlfriend, Megan Eubanks (Emma Taylor-Isherwood), has already made arrangements for a couple to the adopt their baby boy.

Matt has no family in his life as his father left when he was seven and he had an estranged relationship with his mother, Lisa (Carolyn Dunn).

But when he sees Luke for the first time, like fathers the world over, he falls in love with him, and he finally feels that family connection that he'd longed for.

With no means to stop the imminent adoption Matt takes Luke out of the hospital to his grandmother's house.

He hasn’t seen Glennie (Louise Fletcher) since he was a small boy when his mother and grandmother parted on bad terms.

Nonetheless the three form a family unit of sorts and along with Glennie’s friend, Bert (Jack Shepherd) they fight to stay together as a family.

THE BAUBLE AND THE BELL

The bauble and the bell

The tinsel star as well

The angel with its wings

The shepherds and the Kings

The tree’s coloured lights

The tinsel sparkling bright

The garlands hanging high

So, pleasing to the eye

These are the things

That Christmas time brings

THE BEST PRESENTS CANNOT BE BOUGHT

The best presents cannot be bought

There is no mall where they can be sought

But if you have sufficiently striven

The best present can be easily given

It resides in you, channelled from above

That most wondrous gift of eternal love

LEADING UP TO CHRISTMAS DAY

Leading up to Christmas day

Happy Christmas you should say

But so often it goes unsaid,

People say happy holidays instead

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE CHRISTMAS CLAUS

A severely stressed out lawyer and mother of three, Sophie (Lea Thompson), gets her yuletide wish granted by an unlikely mall Santa (Doug Abrahams) after running into Marcia (Rachel Hayward) an old college friend who is single, successful and gorgeous.

When Santa asked her what she wanted for Christmas she pointed at Marcia and said that she wanted her life.

So she was given the chance to see what her life would be like if she had chosen to pursue her career in Law rather than marrying and becoming a working mother.

At first she enjoys the glamour and luxury of her alternative life but Sophie soon comes to realise what is really important to her, the problem is that she doesn’t know how to get back to it.
