Suzy
Yung (Jacky Lai) is a driven Los Angeles-based architect who isn’t used to
failure, so her confidence is high when she is on the cusp of a big promotion.
However,
as she prepares to return to Hampton Meadows, her small hometown in Maine, for
Christmas she is told that the promotion will go to the architect who submits
the winning design for a major project,
and submissions need to be in by the turn of the year.
On
arrival in town, she is persuaded by her old classmate Billy Martin (Tony
Giroux), with the help of family pressure, to join the town's team for the big
annual Happy Valley gingerbread baking competition, which her Nema (Cindy
Piper) had once won.
So,
despite being time poor due to the project she was working on, she felt she
wasn’t able to refuse.
The
other members of the team are Caitlin Keyes (Aadila Dosani) and Stavros (Eli
Gabay) but its spending time up close and personal with Billy that occupies
most of her time and the friendship that they had shared since high school
reveals its true nature.
