It's the Christmas season, six months after web designer Jolie Guidry (Hilarie Burton) moved back to New York City following a breakup with high school sweetheart, Foster Broussard (Hunter Burke).

And she is dreading her return to Lafayette, Louisiana for the holidays, because she knows she will run into Foster who will be with his new girlfriend.

But her best friend, Naomi (Danneel Ackles), has the solution, a fake boyfriend, and the fake in question is her older brother, ghost writer Jack Friedman (Robert Buckley).

Lizzie Richfield (Danica McKellar) becomes the house manager for the exquisite Ashford Estate in Virginia, which is due to be sold.

While preparing the property for the sale, Lizzie plans one final Christmas Eve Gala for the wealthy and slightly estranged Marley family, who seem to be a family in name only.

Lizzie Richfield is at a crossroads in her life and as she is embedded into the lives of the Marley family, she finds herself drawn to Robert, but she is also very much on Kip’s radar, so can she navigate her unusually complicated love life while planning the Gala, healing family feuds and opening their eyes to the true spirit of Christmas?

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS UNDER THE STARS (2019)

In the lead up to Christmas, successful Chicago investment banker Nick Bellwith (Jesse Metcalfe) is fired for a bad investment decision.

He was expecting to be made a junior partner, as was his father Sydney (Michael Kopsa), a very successful international money man, so Nick is obviously hesitant to tell him of his failure.

One day he is spotted as he walks past the Star Top Christmas tree lot, owned by an aging warm hearted widower Clem Marshwell (Clarke Peters) who notices by his body language that Nick is troubled.

So he offers him a temporary job, at minimum wage,  assisting with the heavy lifting.

Despite not being a Christmas person following the death of his mother when he was a child, to his great surprise he takes a job at the lot, which is where he meets Julie Gibbons (Autumn Reeser), an astronomy teacher, and her son, Matt (Anthony Bolognese).

As he works the lot, the once self-centred Nick discovers the joy of helping others and as he spends more and more time with Julie the Christmas spirit washes over him as he begins to fall for the star Gazer.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – MAGIC STOCKING (2015)

Three years have passed since Gilford town planner Lindsey Monroe (Bridget Regan) lost her husband during the lead up to Christmas, and because of the timing and the fact that her husband Doug was so integral to Christmas she had struggled to celebrate it.

However, she had decided that for the benefit of her daughter Hannah (Imogen Tear) it was time to put the Christmas decorations up again.

Then two seemingly innocent and unrelated occurrences take place, firstly she meets Scott Terrell (Victor Webster) who has been hired by the town to rebuild the town square gazebo, which must be completed in time for the lighting ceremony, and second Hannah buys a tattered old Christmas stocking at a holiday craft fair.

When the stocking is hung on the mantle, the family begins to “magically” find items in the stocking that they learn have importance in their lives, however Lindsey is sceptical of its “magic” properties even when it seems to create small trinkets on its own.

But as the single mom and the carpenter spend more and more time together, she is left in no doubt.
