Workaholic Sharon Holden (Olivia d'Abo) is persuaded by her husband Dustin (Anthony Starke) into taking a Christmas vacation to their old stomping grounds, Farthering Pines, an important place for the former High School sweethearts.
On arrival, they meet
Jack Carter (C. Thomas Howell), Robert Jones (Jonathan Silverman) and their
families and everything is set for a great Christmas vacation.
However, Sharon just
can't seem to relax and is soon consumed by her work again despite the
festivities, and obviously something has to give.
Sharon is frustrated
with the struggle of juggling both her family and work life, and as she sits
alone, she wishes aloud that she and Dustin didn’t have children and the next
day she wakes up and discovers her wish has been granted.
Although this
discovery is initially greeted favourably, she soon realises the folly of her
wish and tries everything she can to put things back the way they were, with
hilarious results.
