At Thanksgiving dinner with her family, single College Literature Professor Holly, (Elisabeth Harnois) announces that she has had an article published in a prestigious journal but is soon overshadowed by the revelation that her married sister is pregnant.
So, she is forced to
evaluate her life and is persuaded by her best friend Emily (Sasha Jackson) to
sign up to a dating app.
After her first three
dates didn’t go well, she was ready to throw in the towel rather than risk
meeting another “frog” but then she is paired with a “prince” and arranges a
date with Lawyer Josh (Chad Michael Collins) who is gorgeous, but she thinks he
is all good looks and no substance.
Josh, being a serial
womaniser doesn’t want to let a beautiful woman slip through his fingers, so he
enlists the help of college roommate David (Jonathan Togo) who is also a
Literature Professor at the same college as Holly.
Using the promise of
an interview for a lucrative job he persuades David to write love poems to
Holly on his behalf in true Cyrano De Bergerac style.
What widowed single
parent David is unaware of is that the girl in question is the object of his
own affections.
