Workaholic single mom Lauren Bradley (Kelly Kruger) and her son Jacob (Davide Fair) return to her childhood home for the holidays.
All she wants is time
to work on securing a promotion at work, but her hopes for a quiet break are
dashed as her plans are interrupted when she meets single dad with a lively Christmas
spirit Ben (Kevin McGarry), and she keeps running into him.
Eventually Ben asks
her for a huge favour, he needs her help to keep a Christmas gift a secret from
his daughter Charlie (Ariella Cannon) and that gift is an adorable Christmas
Corgi puppy!
This was not what she
had in mind as she wanted the holiday to be a well-earned rest, but she agreed
anyway, and although it was a drain on her time along with all the calls and
interruptions around work, Lauren and Ben got to spend more time together.
And with Ben she
learned the importance of family holiday spirit and spending time with the
people you love and for her finding Ben was the best gift of all.
