THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – SAY YES TO CHRISTMAS (2021)

 

June Kingsley (Erika Prevost) is a hard-working Associate Editor at a large children's book publisher who is expecting to work through Christmas, again, when her  demanding boss Shannon Snyder (Sabrina Grdevich) insists she goes home to spend Christmas with her family.

The reason is not altruism however she has found out that famous author Sally Wells (Catherine De Seve) is spending Christmas with her daughter in June's hometown and Shannon wants her to sign her up as she has just quit her old publisher.

June is reunited with her childhood friend Blake Harris (Romaine Waite) and he makes a Christmas wish for June to join in with some of the Christmas activities which magically causes her to say yes to every request and is forced to embark on a hectic schedule of Yuletide activities.

She enjoys the events which forces her to reevaluate her career and her relationship with Blake.

In a fancy restaurant in the city just before Christmas Cait Miller (Jessy Holtermann) is expecting a proposal from Steven (Jamie Craib) but he breaks up with her instead, so Cait decides to escape the city and surprise her father Phil (Rick Montgomery Jr) at the family Inn.

When she arrives, she finds the Inn empty except for handyman Drew Patterson (James Liddell) who was her old high school friend, and he is there to tackle the mounting list of repairs because her father is preparing to sell up.

Fortunately Cait's best friend Vic (Zina Ellis) is a wedding planner and one of her clients Eric and Mia (LeJon Woods and Rachel Robyn Wagner) were looking for a last-minute venue as the one they had booked fell through.

Cait comes up with a plane with Drew's help, to host the couple for Christmas and persuade them to have their wedding at the Inn.

However Mia’s mother Maria (Jan Beatty) distrusts unmarried couples so Cait ups the ante and says Drew was her husband much to his surprise and everything is going well until Steven turns up wanting to reconcile and Cait has a life changing decision to make.

The Williams and Hermannhof families are rival winemakers, at least in the eyes of Parker Williams (Ignacyo Matynia) who has forbidden his stepbrother Tony (Reid Rathore) from dating Emily Hermannhof (Maddison Bullock) because she is the “opposition”, he even wrote a clause in their partnership contract.

So Emily hatches a plan and asks her older sister Samantha (Karlee Eldridge), who left the winery to become a flight attendant, to come home and woo Parker and therefore nullify the contract if both brothers are dating the opposition.  

Of course it doesn’t all go according to plan, but they do fall for each other but then he finds out who she is.

Samantha also has to address the issue with her father (Corbin Timbrook) which led to her leaving in the first place.

Everything comes to a head with the Christmas wine competition where the two families go head-to-head.

Elise Hanneman (Kalinka Petrie) is a podcaster looking for a good Christmas episode when she talks to friend zone occupant Daniyal Khan (Fuad Ahmed) just after he discovered that he might have feelings for his lifelong friend Tanya Schultz (Samantha Brown).

Elise agrees to be Daniyal's guide and counsel to set up a perfect Christmas by getting him and Tanya together, but it soon becomes apparent that the only man for Tanya was her boyfriend Cliff (Brendan Morgan) and Elise realises she has been trying to help him win over the wrong woman.
