THERE WAS A MEXICAN SHEPHERD

There was a Mexican shepherd

Who once worked for my dad

And every Christmas time

He wished us Fleece Navidad

WHY DID THE TURKEY CROSS THE ROAD? # 1

Why did the turkey cross the road?

There was a very simple reason

It was due to a lack of options for a Turkey

During the Christmas season

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A CHRISTMAS CAROL (2014)

EB and Heather (Brian Cook and Laurie Campbell) are estranged and living apart.

Because Heather is busy directing the community play, “A Christmas Carol”, she asked EB to take the children until Christmas Eve, which he reluctantly agrees to do, but as he is still working he has to take them with him to Woodsley’s Farm on the way and his son, Oliver (Christian Laurian Kerr), is shocked when his grouchy father gives Bill and Pam Woodsley (Brian Nettlefold and Peggy Calvert) a foreclosure notice, but not as shocked as when he wakes up that night in the room he shares with his sister June (Eva Greig).

He discovers the farmyard animals from Woodsley’s Farm are in his room, and he is further shocked when they go on to reveal to him that they can talk.

Clark (voiced by Joe Marth) is the spokesman for the group and puts forward a plan that will hopefully cajole Oliver and June’s s dad into embracing the spirit and importance of Christmas spirit once again.

Bonnie Wright, Charles Shaughnessy, Jon Heder and Geoff May voice the rest of the menagerie and Keith Cooper is a delight in the dual roles of Nester and Manny in this very enjoyable Festive fantasy.

ARE YOU WEARING GREEN VELVET?

Are you wearing green velvet?

That’s really nice to see

And so fitting for the season

It makes me feel so Christmassy

AFTER A LONG FLIGHT ON THE SLEIGH

After a long flight on the sleigh

Listening to Sleigh bells jingle

It wasn’t milk and cookies

That made Santa’s taste buds tingle

It was the thought of Mrs. Claus’s

Freshly made Crisp Cringle

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A FARE TO REMEMBER

Tamara (Challen Cates) is a high powered business executive who is sent to Seattle at short notice to close a deal on Christmas Eve and becomes stranded due to a complete breakdown of Air Traffic Control in the Pacific North West, and has to hire an eccentric cabbie called Winter (Malcolm Jamal Warner) to drive her to LA in time for Christmas and more importantly her wedding the day after.

In many ways “A Fare to Remember at Christmas” is just another Road Movie but it has a genuine warmth about it that makes it a very effective, upbeat and endearing Christmas movie.

The story is enhanced by people they meet along the way and none better than notable cameos by the excellent John Ratzenberger as Mickey and K Callan as his wife Ginny and Jerry Springer also features.
