After recently moving to London, American architect David Burnside (Will Kemp) is shopping for a Christmas present for his girlfriend Charlotte Fitzsimmons (Sophie Hopkins) three days before Christmas when he runs into professional shopper Anji Patel (Reshma Shetty) who frowns upon his choice of a gift card.

As his girlfriend is also his boss’s daughter he bows to pressure from his peers and hires Anji to help him find Charlotte a meaningful gift and so begins an adventure that takes them from one scrape to another and inevitably David and Anji make an emotional connection.

Married couple Becca and Robby (Marisol Nichols and Kristoffer Polaha) are drifting apart, and nothing seems to be working so their marriage councillor suggests they go away for Christmas, and recommends a cozy Inn in the quaint little town of Gracious,

However, things don’t begin well because when they arrive at the Inn Robby discovers Becca has booked a suite with separate bedrooms and after a number of setbacks, they decide to leave early but after checking out they discover a large Christmas bauble has smashed through the windscreen, so they are forced to stay on until the car is repaired.

Their enforced stay means they have to throw themselves into all the activities and along the way rediscover their love of the season and each other.

Just before Christmas Kim Jones (Rhiannon Fish) is expecting her boyfriend Steven (Jonathan Hawley Purvis) to propose when he makes reservations at a fancy restaurant, but he breaks up with her instead because she’s a workaholic, so her mom, Mary (Lynn Whyte) takes her away to a Christmas Retreat to reconnect with the spirit of the season.

There she meets Mark Reynolds (Clayton James) who has just quit his job after being passed over for promotion and is there because his sister Rae (Carly Fawcett) runs the retreat.

Forced to surrender their phones and devices, they are able to focus on the program of Christmas events and their eyes are opened to the joys of the holidays and each other.

But then she meets marketing executive Clay Moore (Christopher Russell) and there is an instant attraction, without her knowing he is her competition.

The first thing she does is set up her Christmas village on the table and as Chloe moves the figurines around the scene magical things begin to happen in real-life and events seem to mimic the scenes she creates.

One of those affected by Chloe’s placements was Ryan Scott (Luke Macfarlane) who is bought into Summer’s orbit and romance is on the cards.

So, will the Christmas magic solve everyone’s problems?
