THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE CHRISTMAS CHALET (2019)

 

Divorced Photographer Grace (Erica Durance) is given an assignment in Vermont for the holidays so being a lover of Christmas and having had a chalet booked for her she decides to take her mother Helen (Elva Mai Hoover) and sulky teenage daughter Lexi (Micah Kalisch) with her.

However, on their arrival they find the chalet already occupied by a writer, Jack (Robin Dunne) who is trying to escape the holidays, in fact he despises Christmas so much he’s even taken down all of the decorations and hidden them in the basement.

So having been double booked and with no other vacancies in town they have to make the best of a bad situation.

Although the main conflict isn’t between Grace and Jack its between her and her sullen daughter who has a chip on her shoulder because she blames her mom for the divorce because she has never been told that her father was unfaithful.

But Jack becomes a catalyst for their reconciliation, but it is the arrival of her father (Damon Runyan) which finally exposes the truth so the misunderstood mom and the grinchy writer can come together and learn the magic of Christmas and family together.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – THE DOG DAYS OF CHRISTMAS (2021)

 

Aid worker Annie Blake (Georgia Flood) returns to her hometown in North Haven, Vermont, to spend the holidays with her family after finishing a mission in Nepal, while she waits for her next project with the "Helping Hand" organisation and a possible promotion.

It’s the first time she has been back home since her mother passed away three years earlier and stays with her Aunt Claire (Christine Amor) but having devoted her life to helping people in need she is unable to just relax and enjoy the holidays.

So, she pours all of her energy into rehoming animals from a shelter which brings her into the orbit of local vet and Annie's old school debating nemesis Dylan Hawkes (Ezekiel Simat) and they form a reluctant alliance to settle a ragtag bunch of animals looking for homes.

In the end they manage to create a Christmas that nobody will ever forget, and in the process, find true love.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – CHRISTMAS AT MAPLE CREEK (2020)

 

Diana (Jeni Ross), a romance novelist with writer’s block, plans to spend Christmas with friends and family in one of her favourite places, a charming pioneer village, Maple Creek.

But the first person she meets is the new village blacksmith and town historian Carter (Jake Epstein) and sparks fly, but not always in a good way.

Then she learns that the attraction is struggling to stay afloat, so she uses her fame to attract visitors to the town and a Christmas Gala, an event which allows visitors to experience Christmas the way the pioneers did.

So, with sparks flying Diana works with Carter, who challenges her at every turn, but their true feelings come to the fore after the Gala and in true Romance Novel style they get a Happily Ever After.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A CHRISTMAS MISSION (2020)

 

Emma (Mary Antonini) and Liz (Nadine Pinette) are business partners in a store that sells handcrafted goods, and they plan a Christmas Eve event for local artisans to showcase their work.

Emma chose Christmas Eve as it was the first Christmas since her mother’s death, so she wanted to use the event as an excuse not to go home for Christmas.

Her military father, Tom (Alex Poch-Goldin) known as "the general" is naturally disappointed and tells ex-soldier Aaron (Michael Xavier) as much when he visits.

But as Aaron is also Emma’s ex-boyfriend, he hatches a plan with his city dwelling cousin (Solange Sookram) to persuade her to spent Christmas with her father, and help her rediscover the giving spirit of the holidays.

But it proves more difficult than he planned as talented artist and designer Emma’s endeavour catches the eye of a design guru and TV Host Kate Marguiles (Stephanie Sy) who sponsors the event.

Along the way the old feelings they shared come to the surface with the potential to ruin everything, but Christmas is the time for hope.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A CHRISTMAS SURPRISE (2020)

 

Controlling divorced mother Donna (Kimberly S. Baker) has Christmas break all mapped out for her and her daughter Brittney (Katelynn Bennett) when she returns home from college.

However, Donna gets a surprise when it turns out that her daughter is accompanied by her boyfriend Amiri (Mustapha J. Slack) and then she goes on to announce that they are engaged which throws the holiday into total chaos.

So, it’s up to her BFF Jaylin Brown (Will Blagrove) to help her deal with the impending wedding between her daughter and who she sees as her less-than-impressive soon-to-be son-in law.

Then as if that’s not enough to contend with, Jaylin’s overbearing mother Demetria (Keesha Sharp) arrives.

It certainly makes for an interesting Christmas if nothing else.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – DELIVER BY CHRISTMAS (2020)

 

Widower Josh (Eion Bailey) and his young son Charlie (Kesler Talbot) having recently moved to town for a new start, keep running into local bakery owner Molly (Alvina

August) and sparks fly.

But both of them are wary of well-meaning friends and family trying to pair them up with any available singles.

However, when Josh is conscripted into organizing a major Christmas event, he calls Molly’s bakery and the two of them hit it off without either of them realising who the other was.

And Molly is enchanted by her mysterious client and is unaware she's met him in person, and it takes a special Christmas delivery to bring Molly and Josh together in the flesh.

THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER – A CHRISTMAS PROPOSAL (2008)

Big city Lawyer Rick (David O'Donnell) is planning to propose to his girlfriend Reagan (Sarah Thompson) before Christmas and has a real grand gesture in mind.

However, his prospective father-in-law (Tom Arnold) sends him and Reagan to deliver a proposal of a different kind to his quaint mountain hometown which Developer Malone wants to turn into a ski resort.

To make matters worse he discovers on his return that former childhood sweetheart Lisa (Nicole Eggert) is the lawyer trying to save the town.

After a town meeting at which the town council adopts the proposal Rick and Reagan leave town, but a car accident forces them back to the small town where they have to stick around until the car is repaired.

Which gives his friends, family and former girlfriend time and opportunity to work their magic on him.
