Former on-air entertainment reporter Lex Riley (Teri Hatcher) is persuaded to spend Christmas at the Chalet des Neiges in Aspen by her son George (Brendan McRae) despite her ex-husband, Charles (Dan Payne) and his new girlfriend, Liese (Gigi Neil), also being there.

However, on her arrival she finds that her reservation failed and due to the holidays, there were no rooms available apart from staff quarters for a Chalet girl, so she takes the room and the job.

George had advised her to put herself “out there” in the social media world, so she documents her life as a “chalet person” with relish.

She also embraced her recreational time much of which she spends with Eric Tremblay (William DeVry) who runs the family business and romance blossoms.
